Kuldeep Yadav is a 24-year-old Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national team. Their role is that of an all-rounder in the team, bowling left-arm orthodox spin and batting right-handed. He made his international cricket debut against Pakistan on April 7th, 2016.

He was called up to India’s ODI squad for their series against Sri Lanka after injuries to Ashish Nehra and Jasprit Bumrah, replacing Kedar Jadhav in the squad, but he wasn’t picked to play in any of those three ODIs.

And then Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, called for him for the ODI series between India and Australia. He made his debut on October 6 in Kolkata against Australia. In this match, he took the important wicket of David Warner.

He bowled nine overs in the first three matches and picked up four wickets at a respectable economy of 4.80 runs per over. He announced himself to world cricket in style by taking four wickets in his first ODI appearance against Australia.

What Makes Him A Good Cricketer?

कुलदीप यादव is a skillful cricketer with a lot of talent and potential. He has a mature technique and excellent swing and pace. He can swing the ball and has impressive shot-making abilities, especially in the shorter deliveries.

However, his batting skills are mainly limited to coming down the track and playing cut shots. But his batting is just not good enough for international cricket, as hitting balls for long periods doesn’t help anyone in international cricket nowadays.

But Kuldeep Yadav is probably one of the best spinners in domestic cricket right now, along with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who seems like he might take over Test Cricket sooner than we think. Kuldeep Yadav’s performance against Australia in the first ODI match of the series shattered his critics. He started with a maiden over before the Australian batting collapsed into 18/4.

Kuldeep Yadav And His Family

Born on the 2nd of January 1995 in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, to Yashpal Singh Yadav and Sudesh Kumari. He was educated at the famous H.P. Saini Senior Secondary School in Gonda and later at the famous Maha Vidyalaya Inter College in Barabanki, where he played for the cricket team.

Kuldeep is also an avid fan of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and he has been compared to him for his bowling style, with similarities in their bowling actions.

His father, Yashpal Singh Yadav, took Kuldeep to sports coaching academy in Noida at the age of 7, where he was first spotted for his bowling talent.

He also used to play cricket for his school team and college team as a medium-fast bowler, but he could not get to the level where he could contribute anything significant to these teams. After that, a local coach named Sandesh Kumar Jaiswal identified his talents and trained him on the east coast at Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) from 2012 to 2014.

Start Of Kuldeep`S Career

Kuldeep started as a batsman while playing in junior-level cricket matches. He was asked to bowl in the nets, out of which he impressed and was sent to play at the under-15 level. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in November 2014 against Madhya Pradesh.

He started as a right-arm medium-fast bowler, but after a few months. His coach asked him to convert his bowling style and start bowling left-arm orthodox spin.

He was the one who felt that Kuldeep’s bowling was similar to former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi’s. As a result, Kuldeep Yadav made a remarkable breakthrough in domestic cricket when he took 13 wickets at an average of 2.54 in four Ranji Trophy matches and scored 91 runs with the bat, including a 50.

Kuldeep Yadav In IPL

Kuldeep Yadav was picked in the 2016 IPL auction by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 3.2 Crores, who bought him for his impressive season with Uttar Pradesh and India A team.

He made his debut against Gujarat Lions in their first match of the tournament with a match-winning performance of 4/19 and scored a valuable 26 off 15 balls. His bowling figures are best for any bowler on debut in this tournament. In the upcoming ipl 2022 he is said to be in the team of Delhi capitals.

In his debut season with the KKR, Kuldeep Yadav didn’t significantly impact the ball as he got just three wickets (average of 6.21 runs per wicket) and only scored 89 runs at an average of 11.62, which remained his highest score in his career until now. However, he showed what a powerhouse bowler he is by taking 14 catches on the field and scoring two important runs for the team too.
